My experience is getting better
Like most the of the new skills I learn, I struggle at first because I like to jmp into them before reading the relevant background, i.e instructions, owner manual, directions. I like to get started and learn along the way. That is why learning is both painful and rewarding for me. There is a satisfaction putting concepts and practice together without following a step by step plan that is layed out for you. I may be getting the hang of the new technologies that we are learning in this class. However, next week we will start on something new and I probably have a different perspective.

Hi Jim,
ReplyDeleteI smiled when I read your description of how you dive into projects without first taking the time to read instructions. You are clearly a hands-on learner, and I suspect your approach is not unlike many of us (me included).
Our students will probably do the same, which means we might get questions and requests for help before they've taken the time to find the answer on their own.
We'll have to be patient, won't we?
Keep up the blogging.
